I'm Dr Nicola Evans

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years experience working within the National Health Service (NHS). I have also recently worked as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University on their 'Exploring Mental Health and Counselling' undergraduate degree module.

I have worked with people across the lifespan with a wide range of needs and mental health issues. Most of my work has focussed on working with people whom may be considered 'complex'. This may be due to cognitive differences (Neurodiversity, Learning Disability, dementia) which occur alongside historical or ongoing trauma, leading to here and now distress. I have completed one to one work, work with the systems around a person or a combination of both approaches to ensure a thorough and lasting approach to understanding, change, optimising well being and resolving or easing mental health issues, however they may present.

I recently left the NHS (2024) to pursue further my passion for supporting Audhd individuals. I realised some years ago that I was Audhd myself. I am proud to say I have been a strong advocate for myself and those I have been involved with professionally over the years in order to maximise the ability to thrive rather than just survive. 

Now I use both my professional training and my own personal experiences to help other Audhd people just like you to use approaches to maximise well being, by focussing more on what is already working and what is going right . I’ll show you how to use approaches aligned with positive psychology, utilising Audhd strengths to increase your well being in a lasting, supported way.
